Proposed End Of SeasonTrip
There have been murmurings of a trip to either Prague or Swindon (tough choice) at the end of May. It is probably a bit late to be organising it now so we may look towards the October Bank Holiday for a trip away. Anyone with any bright ideas speak now or forever hold your peace.
AGM
The AGM has been and gone. A wonderful turn out of 3 alcoholics, 4 lads who were kicked out of the house by their wives and 2 fellas who were lost, decided the direction of the club for the next year. There reallly only is one thing to say - you're all a pack of wasters
Pontoons
Thanks to the efforts of all club members the pontoon was again success. Thanks to all the organisers who managed to squeeze money out of nearly everyone. Remember we dont care if you sell the tickets or not we just want the money! (Andy Walsh, Ken Buckley and Neil McGowan take note!)
The winners were:
1. Cardiff
2. Rangers
3. Hull City
Please note that even though Barry McCarthy's freinds and relatives continue to win all the major prizes the pontoon is definitely not fixed.
As a result of the funds raised so far this season we shall be moving into a brand new 27 seater stadium with undersoil heating as of next season and Chairman Keane will be driving a Porsche. The loan for the stadium is dependent on Andy Walsh repaying the 72, 000 he owes the club in subs, late fines and pontoon money. (not to mention the fines for being sent off twice recently!)
Injuries:
Alan Kavanagh (knee) and Alan Kilroy (ankle) have both missed several matches and we all wish them a speedy recovery. Big Al has managed a few outings for the Seconds in recent weeks and he is steadily making his way back. Rumours still abound however that he was just "doing a Barthez" and poncing around when there was actually nothing wrong with him. Just a Big Girls Blouse really - but I won't be saying that to his face.
Alan Kilroy is now officially off the injury list and onto the fat boys can't run list - a few too many scoops and a few too few trips to the gym has left him at an obese 9 and 1/2 stone. Still it's good to have you back Al!
The Cameron Doyle slag has been removed in the interests of good taste ass the poor bloke may actually by out for a while after all. No, someone didn't sneeze on him, rather he was assaulted by a Drumcondra defender who didn't even get booked for his troubles. The injury is not as bad as first thought so we're all hoping that he is ready for the start of next season.
There are so many others who should be metioned here but I just couldn't be arsed typing all your names. Get well soon and remember kids "It pays not to tackle!"
