Heroes of the Week
This section of the site is dedicated to those who tipped the balance in Spartak's favour either on or off the pitch. If you want the glory of getting your name here all you have to do is score a few goals, save a penalty or sell a few hundred raffle tickets.
Hero of the week is Frank McNamee. A brace of goals in midweek against Templeogue (from the holding role, Ken!) was followed by a powerful performance on Saturday against Firhouse culminating in the setting up of the equaliser. All this from a man who travels on the buses for free - Well done Ol' Timer!
I do know another player who scored two crackers on Wednesday, and followed it by playing out of position at centre half on Saturday, only to be thrown up front with 15 minutes left to score the equaliser against the old enemy................................................................... but I can't remember his name...............!
